Overnight Oats For Breakfast



Oats are a perfect way to start your day.  They are full of fiber which means they have the ability to fill your tummy up as well as provide you with some roughage to stimulate your bowls for a nice healthy release.  Who doesn’t want that right???  Additionally they are a great source of iron and they are very palatable meaning you can make it taste exactly how you like.

The best oats to get can be debatable and I can write on that later, but for the sake of this article we can go with Rolled Oats.  They are quite good for boiling, but can be time consuming if in a rush.  In those instances I recommend overnight oats.

The idea with overnight oats is that you are allowing time to do the cooking for you.  Now it is not the same as boiling, but they have their own lovable soft chewy texture that is hard to not love. You just have to try it for yourself.


The most enjoyable part to overnight oats is the toppings.  This is where you have to be creative to customize it to match your taste.  For a good protein punch you can use seeds such as walnuts, or pumpkin seeds.  Chia seeds are also a good option for both protein and healthy fats. This in addition to some fruit and some ground flax will be perfect.  Furthermore don’t forget to sweeten it to your liking, there is nothing worse than trying to make yourself eat unsweetened oatmeal, just don’t do it.
