As a person who is very used to eating eggs and very much good friends with chicken, the decision to go vegan has been a bit of a challenge. Breakfast alone has become this very different and odd sort of event. I thought we had a rocking diet and we were doing all the right things and eating all the correct nutrients within reason, but with my recent findings I am discovering that I had it completely wrong.
In essence by making this major change to our diet I have pretty much thrown a wrench in my families happy little eating habits. Now I feel like the bad guy constantly tell them what they can or cannot eat, but I know that these shifts will result in improved health for all four of us, not only that, but also that of the environment and to the other sentient beings that share this space with us.
I don’t mean to make this sound so ominous it really isn’t, I have only been vegan for like one week now and I cannot imagine going back to the way we were eating before. So much has changed you really do have to experience it to know what I mean.
There are a plethora of helpful resources that are available online and you will not be lost for long, no matter the hang-up someone out there has the answers you need and you will be back on track in no time. My favorite place to get inspiration and advice is youtube.com and my favorite place to get quick and easy recipes is pinterest.com, and there are loads of websites beyond that.
If you are contemplating going vegan than I welcome you to the movement and I pledge to help you in any way that I can as I also embark on this journey for myself.
